About me
I am Anne-Marie Ciur, a graduate of G. Dima National Music Academy from Romania where I earned a Master of Sacred Music (M.S.M.) and a Bachelor of Music (B.M.).
Driven by a profound love for music education, I dedicated my life to teaching music, individually or in groups, choirs, or ensembles. Following my graduation, I further enriched my musical expertise through three years of teaching in Europe and an additional 15 years in the United States. Currently, I am a proud member of the Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Additionally, I have mentored students who have gone on to achieve honors at music festivals.
Lessons & Recitals
You will get weekly 30-minute group lessons through local kindergartens / after-school programs, where children explore a variety of supplied percussion instruments and engage in interactive music activities. Each season—fall, winter, and spring—includes 10 sessions. These lessons also include complimentary recitals, giving young learners a chance to demonstrate their skills and celebrate their musical achievements.
Methodology
Using contemporary methods like Orff, Kodály, Suzuki, Dalcroze, and Kindermusik, we create a rich and engaging learning experience. Our key principles are learning by doing, exploration, improvisation, and creation. These approaches help children build strong musical skills.
Objectives
Your child will have the opportunity to explore a variety of musical styles (folk, classical, contemporary, world music, etc.). They will develop ensemble skills; strengthen timing, listening, and coordination with others; learn to follow a conductor; respond to visual and aural cues; and develop a wide range of techniques for percussion instruments.
